Frequently asked questionsWho are you? We're a group of regular people from a wide variety of backgrounds, genders, sexualities, occupations, and interests. We're not doctors, but we all find we have information to share. We appreciate knowing about our own bodies and how to take care of ourselves. You can find out more about what makes DHC members want to participate by visiting the "about dandelion" page. How can I get involved? Send us an email, or better yet, come to a workshop or meeting. Just let us know where your interests lie, what you'd like to share and what you want to learn about. Most workshops or meetings are held at the Village Green, which houses a community garden, greenhouse, and bike repair co-op. This is at 1415 Knowlton Ave. in Northside (45223). Do you provide childcare? We will always have childcare available at the site of the workshop or meeting. Just drop us a note at least a week before the event so we know your child is coming. Are your workshops held in an accessible space? Our space at the Village Green in Northside has accessible entry, but no accessible toilet. We are currently preparing for the construction of an accessible composting toilet at the Village Green. If the event is at another location, please contact us ahead of time to let us know you're coming. Do you sell cloth pads or menstrual cups? Not yet, but we'd like to soon! I have a health question that my OB/GYN or doctor just doesn't understand. I know you're not doctors, but can you help me anyway? Try doing some research on our resources page. You'll find lots of information there. Send us your question and someone in the collective may have some insight. However, we'll probably have to refer you to a professional since we are not health care professionals. |
